Darka is a Myst fan game being developed in In Unreal Engine 4.
The project has had a long history with many iterations. It started initially in 2003 partially inspired by a year long trip in South Africa. In the mid 2010s with the advent of Unreal 4 the project has evolved and solidified its story.
Now with the rise of photorealism in games via Quixel Megascans and recent updates to the Unreal Engine, the game has grown to take advantage of these improvements.
Darka is currently being developed by one person: Myst fan "Yali"

Darka is planned to be a free Myst fan game to add to the roster of immersive Riven-like experiences.
